Who is the senator you speak of? Jon Tester is a Democrat senator from Montana. John Kennedy and Bill Cassidy are Louisiana's senators. Both are Republican.

PS. By the time I registered and got in, you had already got the message. So only one thing to fix: it is John Kennedy, not Jon.

done .... forgive the goof compounded by the goof

Not a problem. It's nice to see people fix mistakes. Frequently, when I have to correct my own posts, I leave the mistake there so people can see there was a mistake that was fixed. If it's just a typo, I don't do that, just fix.

As an aside, the reason I remember Tester is from Montana is I got a campaign call doing a push poll, and they wanted to know how I felt about him. I live in Utah.

Hah, I get that stuff all the time for New Mexico. I live in WA

I think you meant Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana. John Tester of Montana is a Democrat who poses as a moderate back home and goes to Washington and votes down the line with all the other Dems.

No worries .... I did mean Kennedy and I'm pretty grumpy about messing that up.

Tester (R-LA)????????

How about Democrat from Montana!

Ugh, that was a horrible mistake on my part. I actually knew that I meant Jon Kennedy, but wrote Tester. And I honestly have no idea or how I missed it when I proof read. Thanks for calling that out. I fixed and gave you credit for calling me out!

When I proof read, I do so out loud. The mistakes are really jolting and missing words and punctuation mistakes jump off the page.

I might have to try that.
