Your Government Ain't Helping YOU

But they sure as heck are helping someone else

I’m angry and I’m writing this post in haste. It’s not my normal stuff, but hopefully worth your time.

WARNING: There are some F bombs in here.

So, people trying to help in North Carolina are being threatened with arrest. That’s right, volunteers who are qualified to help are being told that if they do so, they will be arrested. Helicopter pilots, trained firefighters, nurses, and doctors have all been prevented from helping and threatened with arrest.

That’s in spite of scenes like this

Update at 11:20 AM on Oct 3, 2024: The Federal Government, specifically Pete Buttigieg, the Secretary of Transportation (A Democrat), has shut down all flights in Western North Carolina except for government. No private volunteers are welcome. And you can’t fly drones either. Which are incredibly useful for finding people that need aid.

This former police officer and current volunteer firefighter, as well as private helicopter pilot, was told he could not continue rescuing people stranded near Lake Lure in North Carolina. Not only that, if he did try he would be arrested. That was after he already conducted several flight operations to rescue people.

A group of nurses and doctors organizing to provide volunteer medical relief in North Carolina were told that they would be arrested if they tried to do so.

And you know what’s even worse? FEMA is out of money. Yes, they are out of money . Where did all their money go, you may wonder.

Well, it sure didn’t go to natural disasters and man caused emergencies. This has been a relatively mild year, after all. Helene is the first major hurricane. Tornado alley was pretty mild. No big earthquakes and the west coast fire season was not abnormal.

So, why exactly is FEMA out of money? What the fuck happened to the billions of dollars of your tax money that Congress gives them every year?

Because they have been spending your tax dollars to feed and house ILLEGAL ALIENS. Criminals entering our country illegally get food and shelter from FEMA using your tax money.

And there’s more: If you are not an approved vendor, FEMA won’t let you bring in food and water and supplies for distribution. So, you and your buddies get together, pool your money, buy a bunch of water and food, and head for where the disaster is. You show up and FEMA will tell you to fuck off. Not just that you can’t bring the supplies in, but that they won’t even take the supplies.

Why, you may ask? Well, you aren’t an authorized vendor that has been pre-approved by FEMA. Nope, you’re just a schmuck, so don’t even go thinking you can help people. Not until you fill out the forms in triplicate, stand in line, get a stamp of approval, and god knows what else.

Later at an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) meeting, Tyre [a volunteer bring supplies to a disaster site] learned that only supplies from "approved vendors" are allowed into FEMA sites. "So accepting outside donations" from groups like Tyre's, "even though they are on location and can help people NOW, they would rather let people suffer so they can get their kickbacks."

This is utterly ridiculous. There is no excuse for this crap. It’s just a bunch of bureaucrats being tinpot dictators and lording it over us normal citizens.

Edit at 10:55 AM: It’s even worse than all that. The Federal military cannot help because the proper paperwork and authority isn’t in place, a thing called Title 10. Basically, there is some paperwork that has to be done to authorize federal military to work with the state government and national guard. That paperwork isn’t done and so the really good military rescue capabilities are sitting on the ground. Pararescue guys, Army Special Ops helicopter teams. You know, the guys that go in and get people out of the worst situations. None of them can go help because the paperwork isn’t done.

Hurricane Helene made landfall on September 27th.

North Carolina’s governor is a Democrat. The President is a Democrat.

Read this article with a statement from a Florida National Guard officer who has seen all of this with his own eyes and is directly reporting what he has seen.

The government isn’t coming to help you. It’s up to you.

Remember, be prepared, be a Minuteman. You are your own first responder. The government won’t show up until it’s too late.
