This Is Big Government
Focused on controlling you, not serving you
This is big government. This is life in the Blue Zones aka hardcore left Democratic enclaves. Places like San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, Minneapolis, and New York City. Washington, Oregon, California, New York, Maryland. Places where Kamala Harris is from. This story could happen in any of these places. It does happen there, all the time, just with different names and different laws involved. But all of it reflects the reality of the petty tyranny of big government.
This guy in New York had a squirrel that he rescued as a baby when the squirrel’s mother was killed by a car. He named the squirrel Peanut. Peanut became the mascot of Mark Longo’s animal rescue farm that successfully saved several hundred animals. Peanut lived with Mark Longo, the man that rescued him, Mark’s wife, and Fred the Racoon, another rescue animal. Mark’s wife is a German immigrant. A legal immigrant.
The New York State government showed up on Mark Longo’s doorstep, forcibly detained Mark, entered his home, ransacked it for hours searching it, took Peanut and Fred out of the home and then killed both of them. No warrant was issued for this. No writ in a court. No nothing. They just stormed Mark Longo’s home and forcibly detained Mark and killed two animals.
And they spent a bunch of time grilling Daniela Longo on her citizenship and immigration status. The State of New York is not at all worried about illegal immigration. But man, those legal German immigrants! Can’t be too careful there.
Why did all this happen? Because they might have rabies. That, apparently, gave the government of New York the power and authority to enter and search this citizen’s home without a warrant and without any sort of authority from a judge.
Forget about illegal immigration, 10,000 homicides a year in the big cities, homeless populations skyrocketing, drug addiction crisis, and all that stuff. What’s important is to make sure Peanut the Squirrel is not potentially going to give Mark Longo rabies.
The real reason, though, is that our governments have become the very thing our Founders feared. Big. Authoritarian. Pervasive. Involved in all aspects of our life. Bureaucrats exercise fearful powers and petty tyranny on a daily basis.

It's not the squirrel and racoon. It's us that they want to be SURE that know our place. Object to your child being indoctrinated or transitioned and expect the same treatment.
We the people are sitting in a jail right now. The authorities have convinced us there's no use in trying to escape. What we've forgotten is that the door is unlocked.
